POETRY CONTEST INFORMATION
April 27, 2008:
In
honor of National Pet Week
happening May 4-10 and the release on April 29th of
The Soul Of A Horse
by Joe Camp, Sage By Nature is having a
poetry contest for horse
and animal loving teenagers to help promote natural horse and pet
care. The theme is
the natural horse and pet.
You can write about what “natural” means to you for the horse or
small animal pet or both; describe with words what the natural horse
or pet would be like, look like, and live like. You can also choose
to focus on one topic such as natural hoof care.
PRIZES
Mr. Camp will be personally autographing a copy of his new book The Soul Of A Horse for the winner! Also, an autographed copy of Dr. Martin Goldstein’s book, The Nature of Animal Healing , will also be awarded to the winner.
Second place winner will receive a bottle of flower essences from www.mystichorse.com, home of Mary Ann Simonds who is a behavioral ecologist and holistic health educator.
In addition, the first and second place winning entries and author names, along with at least two runners up, will be featured on the Sage By Nature website. After the contest ends, all poem entries will be posted, at least one each day, on a new blog for young writers with a passion for animals, http://wisewhinnies.blogspot.com.
Contest judges will be Eleanor Van Natta of Sage By Nature and Barbara Anne Dunn of Dark Horse Ranch.
